After departing SeaTac late Saturday night, the 8th graders have arrived in Vietnam. The four-week 8th grade Global Studies trip is an annual capstone to Evergreen's schoolwide Global Studies program. All year long, students learn about the country where they'll spend this time -- Vietnam and Peru have been regular recent destinations—from language and culture to history and politics. They also cultivate more personal connections, like meeting penpals at a local school, and through working on a service project, such as helping to build a house, as  part of their time there. And of course, this is an unparalleled opportunity for personal growth and exploration, facilitated by our stellar Global Studies team.
