It isn't easy to organize participatory community service opportunities during a pandemic, but this year's PGA Community Service Committee is up to the challenge! This past weekend, 40 Evergreen families including children from preschool on up came together on Zoom and created over 400 cards bearing messages of hope and kindness. The cards will be delivered to long-term residents at local assisted-living facilities later this week. Earlier this year, families had the opportunity to participate in another virtual event, compiling craft kits for local children and teens experiencing homelessness, in partnership with the organization Washington Kids in Transition.
