Showcasing Science in Primary Division

January 6th, 2023

Wrapping up units before Winter Break, both 2nd and 3rd grades celebrated their work in science with culminating showcases! After spending several weeks learning about the solar system, small groups of 3rd graders then thoughtfully designed and built detailed models of habitats on another planet or moon. They had the exciting opportunity to display their projects for their families, faculty and staff, and for each other at their own Science Symposium.

Meanwhile, 2nd graders, wrapping up their unit on simple machines, faced a challenge: How could they help our school mascot Malcon the Falcon get all the way from drop-off up to class? They worked out all sorts of ways, using many different simple machines and lots of creative ideas.
