March 27 Update

We have siding!

This past week, our construction team shared:

Roof insulation and vapor barrier install for the metal roof completed
Painting begun on lap siding at NW corner
Hot rubber detailing nearly completed on a terrace
Elevator install begun
East side concrete retaining walls were poured and waterproofed this week
Utility work by the SW stair has been backfilled and grading is in progress

And as previously, there is significant ongoing work in different areas of the site on soffit rough-in work and drywall install, flooring install, tile prep and install, and acoustic ceiling tile.

Progressing on the Exterior and Interior Too

So much happening on the site! Our construction team has shared these recent updates:

Roof conduit routing is nearing completion
Window install is complete, and we have passed window test inspections
Ongoing install of metal flashing at windows and exterior insulation
Metal gutter at the south eave of the metal roof is installed
Mechanical units have been set in the mechanical room
Drywall, taping, priming, and HVAC ductwork install ongoing in various areas
The electrical switchgear was delivered this week
Concrete footings for the exterior steel stair have been poured and backfilled
Prep for the literacy room concrete ramp is nearly complete!

February 20 Update

This past week's updates from our construction team:

Roof conduit routing is nearly complete.
Window wraps and install is nearly complete.
WRB install at the at the literacy room elevations is complete.
Exterior insulation install is in progress, staring at the NW corner of the building.
Wood framing at the 220 Mechanical Room is in progress.
Hot rubber install on the L2 terrace between GL 1-5 started today (Friday).
Rough-in progressing in various areas.
Hollow-metal frame install on Slab 1A has started.
Site concrete footing layout and excavation has started.

February 2 Update

Another busy couple of weeks on our construction site!

Here are updates from the team:

The TPO roof above the art, kiln, conference, and storage rooms is complete.
The wood framing for the roof above the literacy room is complete.
Window wraps and install is progressing through the south façade.
Girt installation for exterior insulation is in progress on the west and north elevations.
Parapet wall termination on parts of the south facade of the building is complete.
Elsewhere in various sectors of the site, exterior wall framing and rough-in continues.
Excavation and utility work for the SCL vault on the east side of the building is in progress

January 16 Update

It's been a busy two weeks!

Recent updates include:

installation of vapor barrier for the metal roof
hot rubber install, in progress
roof conduit install at the low roof above the art, conference, and storage rooms is complete
wood framing (ongoing)
pouring of concrete curbs
rough-ins ongoing in areas, with ductwork install starting soon
window wraps and window install is ongoing

January 2 Update

At this stage, visible progress on the expansion increases each week. Most recently, the team:

- installed metal decking rebar and structural steel in certain areas;
- installed scaffolding in the NW corner of the building;
- ongoing rough-in and wood framing, as well as fire sprinkler rough-in, in other areas;
- window wraps are in progress in preparation for window install, coming soon.

Visible progress on the new buildings has really increased in the last few weeks!

Our construction team reports they've been focused on interior wood framing, as well as continuing slab pours in different areas, and level 2 web joist layout and install as well.

November 26 Update

The team was busy in the short week leading up to Thanksgiving! Last week, our construction team started low roof wood sheathing on parts of the new building. Wall framing is ongoing, and metal decking was laid in preparation for concrete pouring.

November 17 Update

The building is starting to take shape! Last week, our construction team:

backfilled in the SW corner, and installed waterproofing in the SW and NE corners;
continued install of structural steel in the SE corner;
installed joists and sheathing.

This week, steel install and wood framing continue in different areas of the site.

Last week, our construction team:

completed pouring on-grade concrete slabs for the project
continued structural steel framing
worked on wood framing installs

Next week, they will be continuing wood framing and steel install as well as trenching for primary power. Look for a steel delivery at the end of next week.
