Come
on a journey under the sea. This class will explore and learn about
the fascinating creatures that live in and around the ocean. We will
experiment with salt water, make our own “mini oceans” and edible aquariums.

will be celebrating and embracing all the wonderful things that make
each a unique individual. We will create “All About Me” books and each
child will have the opportunity to be the center of attention. At the
end of the week, our circle time will include a show and tell.

Let's get cooking! We'll discuss and learn
about the basic food groups and healthy eating habits. Each day the
children will be cooking their own nutritious snack. We'll even create
our own recipe book to take home.

14 - 18 ~ Animal Families of the Pacific Northwest
What
animals live in our own backyard? We will read about and discuss the
variety of animals that live in our beautiful region. The class will
go on a nature walk and get up close and personal with some multi-legged,
native Northwest residents.

21 - 25 ~ Art Exploration
Children
will explore with different mediums. We'll use tempura paint, watercolor,
chalk, oil pastels, sponges, glitter, stickers, and more to create beautiful
works of art. A large group mural for the classroom will be created
as well as individual artist portfolios.

28 - August 1 ~ Water Fun
Ready
to get wet? We'll spend the week exploring water. Children will experiment
with ice, sinking and floating, make water balloons, play at the water
table, blow bubbles, and run through sprinklers. Please provide your
child with a swim suit and towel each day this week.
