Summer Program

Outdoor Education

Ages 10 through 14 years old

Outdoor Education
Our summer Outdoor Education program exists to provide students opportunities to learn and grow in a variety of natural environments. Each camp offers the students practice in teamwork, cooperation, physical fitness, decision making, and leadership. Students are introduced to outdoor survival skills and basic knowledge of natural science. The group works at developing an appreciation for the natural environment. The program grants experiences in which the wilderness and the activities involved challenge students. Students are expected to participate in all activities to the fullest of their capabilities. They will be asked to perform skills or activities that they have never done before. It is through these events that individuals learn about themselves. Safety is always our main concern.

Children are encouraged to explore and physically interact with nature. Each morning the group will head out for a hike with plenty of rest stops and fun along the way. Children should bring a lunch, water bottle, and wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots. And bring a nature journal if they'd like to.
