Tuition & Financial AidTuition for the 2010-2011 school year:
The Evergreen School has three payment plans from which to choose. Tuition insurance is required for new families choosing other than the one payment option. General Overview Financial aid is awarded by The Evergreen School to provide financial assistance to parents and their children who, without such help, would not have the opportunity to attend the school. The Evergreen School believes that the primary responsibility for a child's education rests with the family, to the full extent that they are able. The school is not in a position, philosophically or financially, to assume the financial obligation of a parent, stepparent, or an adult sharing the household with the enrolled student. Families must submit financial aid applications each year. Eligibility and Process Financial aid awards are available, depending on availability of funds, to children enrolled in Prekindergarten through grade 8 who have submitted all required documents by the deadlines determined by the school. A Financial Aid Committee at The Evergreen School is responsible for determining awards to families who apply for aid. Financial need is determined based on family income and net worth. The Educational Testing Service, in part, obtains this information, through the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid program (SSS). Tax forms from the previous year are also required and are submitted to the Office of Admission. Please contact the Office of Admission for forms and for additional information.
Financial aid is awarded by The Evergreen School to provide financial

would not have the opportunity to attend the school. The Evergreen
School believes the primary financial responsibility for a child's
education lies with the family; however, we work with families
to ascertain the level of aid necessary for their children to experience
an Evergreen education. We do not consider financial need as a
part of our admission decisions. Families must submit financial
aid applications each year.

The Evergreen School Financial Aid Committee determines awards based on need through review and analysis of all required documents. Need is determined based on family income and net worth. This information, in part, is obtained through review of the following documents:
Parents are expected to provide full disclosure of all income sources when completing the financial aid application. These resources include funds from relatives or friends, limited partnerships, assets of a closely held corporation or any other income producing enterprise. The Evergreen School considers parent signatures on the SSS form and the financial aid notification letter to signify full disclosure of all financial resources. Lack of disclosure may result in the invalidation and withdrawal of a financial aid award. The Evergreen School believes that separated or divorced parents
or partners are obligated to contribute to the educational expenses
of their child(ren), regardless of the existence of legal documents
asserting otherwise. January 14, 2010: Recommended deadline for PFS (SSS) forms to be received by SSS and a copy of the PFS to The Evergreen School Office of Admission. (This will ensure that the SSS calculation and recommendation will be sent to The Evergreen School by February 4, 2010.) February 4, 2010: Deadline for 2009 Tax forms and W-2 forms to be received by The Evergreen School Office of Admission. Applications received after this date will be placed in the financial aid wait pool. Wait pool applicants will only be considered after those received by the deadline, and only if aid is still available. March 18, 2010: Financial Aid Award notifications
sent to newly admitted students/families along with admission acceptance
letters. Review award notification letter, sign, and return to
the Office of Admission by the deadline outlined in the award letter. Should I apply for financial aid? What will next year's aid be like? Some families may find it difficult to meet their tuition payments even with a financial aid award. They may consider taking out an education loan. Low-cost educational loans available to parents from private lenders include:
